Welcome to Nail Files App LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our mobile application, Nail Files App (the "App"), and any related services (collectively, the "Services").
By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
1. Information We Collect
We collect several types of information to provide and improve our Services:
1.1 Personal Information
When you create an account, contact us, or use certain features, we may collect:
- Full name
- Email address
- Username and password
- Phone number (if provided)
- Profile photo or avatar
- Location information (if you enable location features)
1.2 Usage and Device Information
Automatically collected data may include:
- Device type and model
- Operating system (iOS/Android)
- App version
- IP address
- Language and region settings
- Device identifiers (e.g., IDFA, Android Advertising ID)
- Log and analytics data (e.g., pages visited, time spent, crash reports)
1.3 Images and Media
If you upload or take photos within the App (e.g., nail art images or portfolio entries), those files are stored and processed as part of your user content. This also includes images used for AI Nail Try-On (see Section 1.6).
1.4 Location Data
If you enable location services, we may collect your approximate or precise location to show nearby salons, services, or events. You can disable location access anytime in your device settings.
1.5 Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We and our analytics or advertising partners may use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to understand user activity and improve our Services.
1.6 AI Nail Try-On
If you use AI Nail Try-On, we process images you provide to generate a preview of nail designs on your hand.
What we collect:
- A photo of your hand (taken with your camera or chosen from your library)
- An inspiration nail design image (from a post in the App or another image you select)
- An optional reference to the inspiration post (stored on our servers)
- Generated try-on result images
- Job status and technical metadata (e.g., timestamps, error messages)
How we collect it: You upload or capture images in the App when you start a try-on. We may save your most recent hand photo on your account for faster future try-ons. You can replace it by taking a new photo.
How we use it: To validate that images are suitable, generate an AI preview, store results linked to your account, and enforce subscription or credit limits.
Third-party AI processing: To generate try-on previews, we send your hand photo and inspiration image to Google LLC via Google Cloud Vertex AI (Gemini) for automated image analysis and generation. We do not send your name, email, or other account profile fields to Google for this feature. Processing occurs on Google's cloud infrastructure. Google's handling of data processed through Vertex AI is governed by Google Cloud's terms and Google's privacy policy. We require that our service providers protect personal data with safeguards comparable to this policy.
Your choice:AI Nail Try-On is optional. We will ask for your permission in the App before sending your images to Google's AI service. You may decline and still use other App features.
Retention: Try-on job records and result images are retained while your account is active and as needed to provide the feature. You may request deletion of your account data, including saved hand photos and try-on history, by contacting us.
2. How We Use Your Information
We may use your information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our App and Services
- Personalize your experience
- Send administrative and promotional communications
- Facilitate community or social features (e.g., profiles, posts, comments)
- Respond to your inquiries and support requests
- Detect and prevent fraud or misuse
- Comply with legal obligations
- Generate AI nail try-on previews when you request that feature
3. Sharing of Information
We may share information as follows:
- Service Providers: With trusted vendors who assist in operating our Services (e.g., hosting, analytics, customer support, payment processing).
- Legal Compliance: When required by law, regulation, or legal process.
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- With Your Consent: If you agree to share or make your profile public.
- AI Service Providers: When you use AI Nail Try-On and consent, we share your hand and inspiration images with Google Cloud Vertex AI (Gemini) solely to process your try-on request.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize your information.
For AI Nail Try-On, we retain saved hand photos, try-on job records, and generated result images while your account is active and as needed to provide the feature, unless you request deletion.
5. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access and receive a copy of your personal data
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent (where applicable)
- Request portability of your data

6. Children's Privacy
Our App is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn that a child has provided us with information, we will promptly delete it.
7. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection.
8. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we implement safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your data.
9. Third-Party Services
Our App may include links or integrations with third-party services, including Google (Google Cloud Storage, Google Maps, and Google Cloud Vertex AI / Gemini for AI Nail Try-On), Apple, Stripe, RevenueCat, Firebase, AppsFlyer, and Meta. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their policies before using those services.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted within the App with a new "Effective Date." Your continued use of the App after changes means you accept the revised policy.
